How Ban Wak works

1. Build the quiz

Hosts create a quiz and add questions: true/false, four-option multiple choice, open answers, word clouds, polls and 0–10 scales. Each question gets its own time limit, and you can add an image.

In a hurry? Describe your topic and the AI quiz builder drafts a full set of questions and answers for you to edit.

2. Start a session and share the PIN

Starting a quiz creates a session with a six-digit PIN and a QR code. Open the live screen on the TV or projector and players join at the join page by typing the PIN or scanning the code.

Players do not download anything and do not create accounts. They pick a nickname and appear in the lobby.

3. Play the round

• The question and countdown appear on the shared screen — and on players' phones too, if you prefer it that way.
• Everyone answers on their own device. Correct answers score, and faster answers score more.
• Scoring is worked out on the server, so nobody can nudge their own total.
• Results reveal after everyone has locked in, either automatically or when you press the button.

4. Standings and the finish

Leaderboards can pop up between questions or stay hidden until the end — your choice. The final screen is a podium with the top three, plus each player's own result on their phone.

If the night was about opinions rather than points, you can end with a thank-you screen instead: no scores, no rankings, just results from the polls and scales.

5. After the game

• Download the results as CSV or a PDF report with per-question accuracy.
• Collect quick feedback from players on their phones and see the averages in one place.
• Reuse or copy a quiz for the next night, or hand a copy to another host.

What you need

For players: a phone with a browser and the PIN. Nothing else, and it is free.

For hosts: a Ban Wak host account and a screen the room can see. Hosting is invite-only, which keeps your quizzes private to you.
